Scholarships

New research indicates that young children's learning and development depend upon  the educational qualification of their teachers.  The purpose of the scholarship project is to increase the number of qualified early childhood teachers in licensed child care centers in our region.   Scholarships allow child care staff to enroll in the child development department of local colleges to pursue a Child Development Associate (CDA), an Associate's degree in early child development, or an administrator's certificate.

For more information speak with your child care center director or contact Smart Start by phone [ 254-296-5274 or 254-296-5275 ] or by e-mail.
